Abstract: Applying the mindmap in writing discipline is a new direction in teaching in general and teaching Khmer in particular. In the article, we will outline the system of theoretical basis - practice on the mindmap, subjects of writing - Khmer textbook volume 6 and the situation of using mindmap in teaching writing at ethnic minority boarding schools in Tra Vinh province. From there, we proceeded to design mindmaps about understanding the genre and outlining the articles in the subjects of writting - Khmer textbook volume 6.
